Horse Tack Sale

Well I sold my horse Ellie which was the right thing to do for her. I have given up riding now due to age and health. I wish to sell her tack - much of it is in terrific, even new condition, as I only had lessons on her for 18 months and I looked after everything very well.

Jorge Canaves Argentinian leather AP Windsor "Futury" saddle 18”. Unmounted. www.jorgecanaves.com In very good, sound condition, it is completely unmarked & undamaged with very good stitching The only wear is on the suede knee pads, as indicated in the photos It would suit a broad-backed horse with low whither. A "medium" gullet, but measurements around the gullet area: Button to button across/round front of saddle 17.5cms/7" Across the front (at the level where stuffing starts) is 17.5cms/7" (external/outside surface to outside surface) Across the front (at the level where stuffing starts) is 14cms/5.5" (internal, within the arch) Bought in June 2007 for my quarter horse. A saddle fitter determined that it did not fit her so never used again.	Bought from a horse owner who had used for competitions on her 16 HH quarter horse. $320 including long brown anti-gall elastic Wintec girth in photo below bought for it as stirrup leathers are short. This is a bargain for this fine saddle and quality girth if you have a horse that it fits.

SOLD One pair of Smartrider “Escape” Breakaway Stirrups. Bought after presented on “New Inventors” in 2009 and never used (sadly). Strength for rider 85-110 kg. Stirrup when tilted to a 180^o can double as a ladder for mounting. Show bridle and rein Olympic Saddlery dark brown (or black? Hard to tell as it is so dark) leather show bridle and reins. www.eques.com.au/olympic_saddlery This is a high quality leather show bridle and has been well cared for. Rarely used with my mare as I used a cheap leather bridle for all my lessons and her schooling.	Sell for one-fourth new price @ $100. Bargain! Shown with snaffle bit that is not for sale (being credited as new).
It had only had a small amount of use when I bought it and I have never used it. This bridle is soft and easy to adjust – feels so lovely to ‘play’ with - wish I had used it more instead of the stiff cheapo leather of her everyday bridle. All stitching and leather is in perfect condition	Tag in photo at right is on the (new) bit.

SOLD Akton tendon boots Bought and used for my mare after a healed fetlock injury. Used only a couple of times. Easy to put on and remove. Would be good for jumping. Used but good condition.		Still in new packaging so new price of $130 visible. Will take $50.
SOLD Float boots - 4 Picador. Fleece lined. Velcroe fasteners. Easy to put on. Used but good condition. Note the brown rolled ones on table at right are not part of the Picador float boot set.	$20

Horse coats – all 5’9”
SOLD Eurohunter winter rug with attached neck rug (all one piece). This was my rug of choice - I would choose to put on my mare when the rain set in as it would keep her dry and warm. It has two small repairs on neck rug.	It cost me $50 to have this rug repaired, cleaned and re-proofed at the end of 2009 winter. All offers over $40 – less than cleaning cost -considered. A great rug for winter approaching.

SOLD Three summer coats 5’9” Skye Park and Eurohunter - one with satin bib – and also two summer neck rugs. Cleaned and folded. Used but good (two rugs) to OK condition in the third rug.	Bargain at $30 for the bag of the three rugs and two neck rugs all cleaned and folded.

Moleskin horse rug 5’9” $25 for main and neck rug.

Lovely to feel and wear when it is not (heavily) raining. Warm without over heating. With detachable neck rug. Used but good condition. Main rug is a little faded (unlike neck rug which was not used) but is in good condition with all straps etc fine and no tears. Perfect for rugging at night in horses under shelter or for cold days.

Heavy Canvas wool lined horse rug 5’9”. Used and in OK condition. Rug tail flap came off and was repaired when rug was professionally cleaned and re-proofed at the end of last winter.
