Where can we eat in Kangaroo Valley?
You can cook and dine at Kookaburra
Hill or explore the surrounding restaurants
in the village and walk home under the stars after that bottle of wine or two
... and there really are stars here on a clear night.
Kookaburra Hill Bed and Breakfast is a stone's throw to Kangaroo
Valley village, just a 500-metre flat walk from the front gate. Within this
short stroll there are 9 cafes or restaurants, 2 art galleries, several antique
or craft shops, a children's playground, a small supermarket, a post office, a
newsagent and a pub with a bistro and a bottle shop. Additional restaurants, galleries
and shops are a short and easy drive away.
There are a number of vineyards
nearby, some with dining options as well as cellar door. Yarrawa
Estate is a boutique vineyard in Kangaroo Valley a short drive away with wine
tasting by appointment. There are several art galleries in the valley worth a visit, including JD Galleries, Galeria Aniela and others.
You can also drive to other restaurants a litlße further on. Berry
or Bowral
offer a range of restaurants and take-aways as good and varied as that of larger
cities. Other scenic villages with excellent cafes and restaurants nearby include
Burrawang
and Robertson
as well as the many beachside venues surrounding Nowra
and Gerringong.
