The house is accessed by a winding driveway through a eucalyptus woodland and is more than 200 metres from the front gate so when you arrive it is hard to believe you are not more isolated. As each booking is exclusive, all of this is for you alone to enjoy!

Kookaburra Hill has two queen bedrooms (each with luxurious pillowtop innerspring beds) and in between these is a single bedroom (king single innerspring with single trundle) which can be used as a second living area, for example if 2 couples book as a group. The beds are made up with with crisp sheets, many pillows, goose-down or wool duvets and large luxury towels are supplied. All bedrooms have gorgeous views. One of the queen bedrooms looks out to Wedding Cake Mountain and has two walls of windows - lie in bed and gaze at the stars or watch the sun rise over the mountains.

There is a living room with deep sofas and at one end, a kitchen bar with facilities to cook and serve meals. There is a TV/ DVD/ video player and a DVD/video library is available for all guests at Kookaburra Hill. The full bathroom has a corner spa with views of the pool and garden.

The in-ground salt-water solar-heated pool invites you, just outside your living room and alfresco dining area. Swim and enjoy magnificent 360 degree views and the gorgeous sandstone surrounds. Turn on the pool lighting and swim at night in warm water and enjoy the spa jets on your back, maybe as you enjoy a refreshing glass or two after dinner in the cabana, or float in the warm water and watch the millions of stars in the black sky. The only hard thing is getting out! A cabana with table and 4 comfortable chairs offers shade and weather protection. The pool is safe for children with ironbark fencing and perfect visibility from your living room. Outside your living room is a private outdoor area with 6-burner gas barbecue (with hood and wok burner) and an outdoor table for 8 people.

At Kookaburra Hill the temperature is always perfect with your own RC ducted air conditioning and double glazing of all windows. Or turn it off and enjoy the country fresh air with the screened cross airflow ventilation or the warmth of a winter sun inside from the house's solar passive design.

A picnic rug and pillow is available to stretch out on the outdoor chairs or the lawn. You can also pre-book a massage or facial , maybe after a relaxing herbal spa bath.

Dining options: a generous breakfast hamper for the first morning or two will be in the living room on your arrival. You can prepare meals in the kitchen or use the gas barbeque with hood for a roast or some steaks and dine in your living room or the guest alfresco dining area (pictured) overlooking the olive grove and pool. This area contains an outdoor barbeque refrigerator also, to keep your drinks cold and close to the pool. Some of the best meat you have ever eaten can be delivered for you from Mauger's Meats in Burrawang and placed in your refrigerator waiting your arrival. Maugers grow their own meat.

It is very relaxing to put away the car keys. Indeed, you can stroll to one of 9 cafes and restaurants within 500 metres of the front gate and walk back under the stars after that bottle of wine. And there are stars here!
